1:04 min
The Battersea Power Station Development Company's (BPSDC) CEO Rob Tincknell claims that the buildings four cream chimneys are decayed beyond repair, and says they must be replaced with replicas. Demolition work is expected to begin this month. However discrepancies between the company’s reasoning and its actions suggest that once removed the chimneys might never be replaced. The site has enormous commercial potential without the power station sitting awkwardly in the centre of it. Our video comments on the fact that Battersea Power Station Development Company continue to lease the site for public events, which are regularly held in the shadow of the 'structurally failed' chimneys, despite the 'big chunks' of concrete that Tincknell says are falling off all the time.
