A Hole with Two Ends, 2015

Oktopus is a film collective started by Amber Jacobs and Gordon Hon. It began with the question; is it possible to make a horror film without killing women? We are not sure what we mean by a collective yet but at the moment it just includes whoever joins us to make a film. We are interested in projects that can be very broadly described as having psycho-social themes that incorporate elements from horror, drama and comedy. A hole with Two Ends is based on a short story by Michel Faber (Under the Skin). In a way, the film itself is a the hole; a hollow object with two ends rather than a beginning and an end. The horror is what occupies its emptiness.
