The Ballad of the Charmers
Anne Robinson
9-10 November 2024
12-6pm

...........

‘The Charmers’ are a (possibly fictional) band, formed by seven queer time-travelling players. They were discovered on a 17th century scroll by an artist researching the Scottish ‘witch’ trials: recorded as ‘not to be found’. The Ballad of the Charmers explores their story in 'broadside' form with prints made in collaboration with Muttonfist Press and Lisa Cradduck.

Five Years will be open on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November 12-6 and you are especially welcome to join us for drinks, prints and sounds on Sunday 10th at 4pm

With thanks to all the Charmers: Deb Smith, Jo Gate-Eastley, Tansy Spinks, Maggie Nicols, Limpe Fuchs, Debbie Armour, Nic Howiantz, Karina Townsend, Brian O’Neill, Helen Spackman, Louissin Torah Pilikian, Charlie Wood, Rachel Gomme.. and supporters: Arts Council England DYCP, Muttonfist Press, Five Years, Middlesex University, Space Arts, Dimple Discs, Narture, Ayr, Beaconsfield Contemporary Art, and Queer Materialities Group at GSoA.
