Call to participate. Open to anyone.

This is a proposal calling for anyone taking part in the drafting, developing, and making of two publications.

Working documents edited collectively.

The purpose isn’t to merge these projects but to critically engage and question them in their own terms, revitalize them, and therefore examine what constitutes ‘Five Years: Study Groups’.

The two days will be set up to review, discuss, plan, develop, and make something of these projects. As publishing projects.

This is a proposal looking at the productive tensions of a model of open participatory self-organised publication as shared making.

The bit in the Five Years statement that says: We define ourselves as an artists’ organisation rather than an artist-run organisation. Our purpose is to facilitate, support and make public our projects. The physical gallery space is a shared resource, a tool rather than a gallery ‘run’ by the artist in the role of curator or director.

This is a proposal calling on anyone interested in working with Five Years.

There will be no zoom or teams meeting.
