In an attempt to articulate the sensation of speaking in tongues, I wrote a sound that
captures an aspect of the experience. Language is an embodiment. Through the study of
glossolalia, I have come to understand the operations of sound as a type of consciousness
that flows to give life to an existence that is often full of nothingness. The vibration of sound
as it moves through the mouth to the inner depths of the stomach and out, is like the sonic
experience of chordata. Sound is a language for communication as well as for many like
many a form of identity.

Glōssa is a performance exhibition exploring the choreography
of the mouth and sound as an unframble material.
