For her exhibition at Five Years, Rochelle Fry has improvised silhouettes of unlikely tangled and loosely connected forms as drawings. Executed directly on the walls, the forms propose imaginary objects in three dimensions. They look somewhat like shadows of spindly shelves as projected through water. They have clarity of shape insomuch as their edges are distinct, but they tangle into a matrix of lines in the background a raw field of development in this improvisational experiment.
Rochelle Fry is a member of Five Years. She lives and works in London. She had a solo exhibition at 43 Inverness Street, London in 2013 and her work was included in Young London 2012 at V22.
