The first in an ongoing series of works, Clay Arlington’s “S/S 2014” sources material for making sculpture by negotiating the purchase of scrap metal from itinerant foragers working in and through the city of London, who utilise valuable scrap metals as a means of off radar trade and barter. The items sourced by Arlington will depend entirely on the materials found or intercepted by the scrap metal foragers.
