What do we mean by public engagement?
Five Years: Call for Proposals.
Proposal. All proposals will be accepted.
Part 1. A series of preliminary public discussions at Five Years leading to what? To be discussed.
The proposals for Part 1 should be no longer than 200 words only.
Deadline was Monday 24th June 2013.
All aspects of the question: What do we mean by public engagement? may be freely taken in whatever way or form we wish to define.

It may (or may not) be helpful to view the Arts Council's own guidelines for further information. It may also be helpful or necessary to critically view the idea of a so-called 'not-for-profit project', 'artist-run space' or 'independent curatorial project' such as Five Years. Part 2 is will take place coincidentally with the ArtLicks Weekend in October (where, they will be making a special case for such projects and spaces ‘opening to the public’).
