(Second right) include stills from Ignominious Wank, a video text piece. This as yet unrealized and unfinished piece relates to a group conversation recorded as part of a practice based speculative symposium (Back to Freeschool: Drawing out the Archive) that took place from the 9th to the 17th of April 2011 at Kilquhanity, one of the original free schools established in Galloway, Scotland by John Aitkenhead in the 1940’s. (First right) John Aitkenhead's room, which include Amy Todman's video Stage, her drawings/work on paper and a model of the house at Kilquhanity and the surrounding grounds built by children at what is now called Kilquhanity Children’s Village. The model was aleady in the room when we got there.
